Verdicchio is a white grape variety grown almost exclusively in the Marche region. The main growing areas are the Castelli di Jesi region, in the province of Ancona, and the Matelica region, in the province of Macerata, where the DOC and DOCG wines of the same name are produced.
From an olfactory perspective, Verdicchio di Matelica tends to be more golden than that of Jesi. It has a dry, fresh, and savory profile.
